The role:

·        Responsible for the provision of an effective and efficient planned maintenance program, including; pre contract surveys, inspecting work carried out by contractors and attending site meetings with contract administrators and quantity surveyors.

·        Supervision of response maintenance tree surgeons, including; detailing and coordinating works for tree surgery works, inspecting the progress and quality of work and liaising with h District Management, District Maintenance and other bone fide groups to ensure quality service provision.

·        Identification of changes to areas in Executive ownership so that the Land Asset Register database and associated maps are kept current.

·        Assessing and receiving handovers of Soft and Hard landscaping elements of New Build, Environmental Improvements, I.P.B.S., Grounds Rehabilitation and other schemes with a landscape content.

·        Attending meetings and court to give technical evidence on PLIC claims

·        Liaison with housing management, statutory bodies, community groups and other interested parties on all aspects of Grounds Maintenance, including attending meetings, site visits, discussions and briefing Housing Management on proposed projects.

Criteria:

·        A degree in landscaping or equivalent professional qualification

·        2 year’s relevant experience

·        Experience in: horticulture, staff supervision, experience of large scale planting schemes and grass cutting.

·        Driving license and access to transport
