About the Role

This position is based at the research farm in Crossnacreevy. The role involves hands-on work with crop trials, including wheat, barley, oats, and grasses. You’ll play a key role in supporting field experiments and maintaining high standards in farm operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ploughing fields
  • Spraying crops
  • Sowing seeds
  • Harvesting using combine machinery
  • Operating Haldrups and other specialist equipment
  • Using fertiliser spreaders
  • Lawn maintenance with Kubota machinery

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum of 2 GCSEs (grades A*-C), including English Language and Maths, or equivalent qualifications
  • At least 6 months of relevant experience in tasks such as ploughing, spraying, sowing, and combining
  • A valid UK driving licence
  • Desirable Skills & Experience
  • PA1 and PA2a spraying qualifications
