Groundsperson

Flexsource NI are currently recruiting for Grounds Maintenance staff on behalf of a large public sector client, on a temporary full-time basis, with a pay rate of £13.05 per hour

Locations available are Ballymoney and Antrim

Responsibilities:

·        Driving, operating and maintaining a range of mechanical/electrical equipment and machinery associated with the provision of a grounds maintenance service in a commercial/contractor environment.

·        Cutting and edging of hedges and grass using a range of equipment, both handheld and mechanical/electrical

·        Establishing and maintenance of shrub beds and grassed areas including reclaiming, fencing-off, ground planning preparation, removal of dead trees, planting trees shrubs and flower bulbs, fixing tree guards, staking, mulching, grading, reseeding, rolling and watering as required

·        Clean and lift litter and larger debris from hard areas, shrub beds, rough grass, water ways and shop areas as required

·        The spraying of shrub beds, tree bases and hard areas with a range of chemicals, pesticides and weed killers if you have the proper certificates

·        Loading/unloading of all equipment, materials and waste as required. Running repairs and minor maintenance on equipment and machinery

Requirements:

·        1 years’ experience in a similar role

·        Possess a category B1+E driving licence

·        A Category C1+E licence would be an advantage

·        Spraying certificates are desirable
