Agricultural Staff

Cpl NI are working in partnership CPL NI are working in partnership with the Agrifood and Bioscience Institute (AFBI) in their search for industrial staff, with an emphasis on Grounds Maintenance.

This is a temporary fulltime role, working 37 hours per week, with a salary of £24,952 per year

Responsibilities:

·        Working across research farms which specialise in the trials of wheat, barley, oats and grass

·        Sowing cereal and grass plots

·        Preparing ground for sowing (ploughing, power harrowing, rolling)

·        Spraying of plots, burn lines and interrow spraying

·        Hedge cutting in field and onsite

·        General yard maintenance (power washing, edging grass, strimming, tidying sheds)

·        General machinery maintenance (servicing, changing wearing metal, greasing, preparation for winter housing)

·        Cutting surrounds/pathway grass with industrial mower/flail mower

·        Working with scientific teams on various projects to complete essential research work

Requirements:

·        Experience operating a range of farm machinery

·        Experience working within an agricultural setting

·        PA1 & PA2a certificates are desirable

·        A full UK driving licence
