Band 5 Fire Prevention Officer

Flexsource NI are currently recruiting for a Band 5 Fire Prevention Officer on a full time, temporary basis.
This role will be based in Craigavon, and involves travel to sites across the Southern Trust area.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out fire risk assessments, fire drills, and routine fire safety inspections across Trust sites.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on fire safety to managers and staff, promoting a safe working environment and strong compliance culture.
- Support the development, review, and implementation of fire safety policies, procedures, and management systems.
- Identify training needs and contribute to fire safety training programmes and compliance monitoring.
- Investigate fire safety concerns and incidents, producing reports with recommendations for improvement.
- Liaise with managers, staff, and stakeholders to identify risks and implement effective control measures.
- Produce fire safety reports, statistics, and assessments to support informed decision-making.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fire safety legislation and best practice, ensuring ongoing compliance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and promote high standards of health, safety, and quality.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths.
- Recognised Fire Risk Assessment qualification, including practical experience conducting assessments. (Level 3-5 desirable)
- At least 12 months’ relevant experience in fire safety or a related environment.
- Experience in conducting fire risk assessments using recognised standards (e.g. HTM Firecode, PAS 79 or similar)
- Experience delivering training and producing reports
- Full UK driving licence with access to transport.
